The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not going to retract its earlier statement that the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) aided insurgency in Nigeria.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary Olisa Metuh said this on Tuesday in Abuja.
Metuh also said that in its pursuit of power shift the opposition party was heating up the polity by distracting President Goodluck Jonathan from his transformation agenda.

Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen Chris Olukolade, said Borno State officials had provided wrong information on the missing Chibok girls, Today reports.
Kashim Shettima provided misleading information to DHQ
In a recent interview with African Independent Television (AIT) Olukolade claimed that Borno governor Kashim Shettima and the state senators gave misleading information, which resulted in the waste of resources.

A 22-year-old single mother, identified as Chinelo Ituma has been arrested by the police in Enugu State for allegedly trading off her new born baby.
We gathered that Chinelo, an indigene of Ebonyi State, residing at New Artisan Market Enugu sold the baby girl for the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand naira.
In a statement issued by the spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, he said the command has “commenced a full scale investigation into the alleged incident of human trafficking/selling of baby.“The mother of the three months baby girl, a 22 year old woman identified as one Chinelo Ituma from Mgbo Town in Ebonyi State but residing at New Artisan Market Enugu, sold the child to one Maria Asomba from Ubahu Okija in Anambra State, who lives in Asaba”. Jay Z was ferociously assaulted by Beyonce’s sister Solange … who was wildly kicking and swinging at him inside an elevator … and the attack was captured on surveillance video … obtained by TMZ.
According to our sources, it all went down at a Met Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel in NYC. In the video … Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange step into the elevator … and then Solange goes crazy, screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack. A large man — who appears to be a bodyguard — attempts to hold Solange back, but she manages to connect at least 3 times. At one point Solange throws a kick and Jay grabs her foot, but never attempts to strike her. Beyonce stands by without getting physically involved. It’s unclear what triggered the fight.
And this is interesting. When you look closely, you see the bodyguard hit the emergency stop switch on the 12th floor — mid fight — presumably to keep the fight private.
All three walked out of the building together — Solange looks pissed — but while Bey and Solange get in one car … security walks Jay to a different one.

In spite of the turbulent period Nigeria is going through over the spate of insecurity in the country and the continued abduction of over 200 teenagers by the Boko Haram terror group since 14 April in Chibok, Borno State, Nigerians still have the time for humour.
For almost a week now, Nigerians have gone on various social platforms to mock the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Mrs Patience Jonathan, for speaking pidgin English while addressing Mrs Asabe Aliyu Kwarmbula, the Principal of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State over the abducted 234 students of the school at a press briefing.
The two minutes, 38 seconds long video has generated a lot of reactions on social media since it surfaced last week with many Nigerians sharing links through which it could be downloaded.
Apart from making the video go viral on social media, these elements have also gone to the extent of editing the video on Facebook, Twitter and instagram and also coming up with images such as T-shirts and caricature of the First Lady.
Many social media users have also come to include such slangs as ‘Na only you waka come’, ‘Diaris God O’, to their vocabularies.
Some Nigerians youths on social media have also edited the video and added hilarious speeches by popular ex-lawmaker and grammarian, Patrick Obahiagbon to mock Mrs Jonathan.
The latest of the mockery is a new video that surfaced over the weekend with a white woman making jest of the First Lady.
In the video, the white woman, who puts on a local attirr matched with a head gear, was videoed using a handkerchief to wipe out tears from her face just like Mrs Jonathan did in the video that went viral.
One can only hope this national shame would be put to a halt soon.
